FYOS Event
So we’re supposed to do three events for this class, and I did my first one yesterday, which was going to the Study Abroad Fair. I have mixed feelings about the fair. Generally I hate anything that requires people sitting at booths and promoting stuff, because the people I don’t want to talk to are always the ones who jump at anyone walking by, and the people I do want to talk to are rather unwilling to actually engage in conversation. This fair was kind of like that. For, the booths that I really wanted to visit, I had to pry information out of the people working there. And then they would ask what my major is and I would say English Education and they would be like “Oh…” because apparently that major is not very conducive to travelling abroad. Which is disappointing. But in spite of these draw backs I do feel that I know about a lot more programs than I did before, so I’ll probably be more likely to study abroad. Plus I got a bunch of free pens, which I always love.
