I like that you took the time to talk about the man’s voice. It was bothering me too. At first I had trouble adjusting to it and understanding what the man said. And I like that you described his voice as “out of place” because that’s how I felt about the man as a whole. He dressed like he was a monk in medieval times or something. He wrote with a quill. He was definitely out of place.

This has kind of made me think about this man’s purpose in the story. Maybe he’s supposed to represent Father Time or something. Maybe he’s made this way to represent the eternal question of “Why?” Or maybe he’s just a guy with a creepy voice. :P

Something I notice a lot about people is their voice. Is it soothing? Is it raspy? Is it squeaky? Well, I was really scared by this man’s voice. It actually distracted me a lot from the rest of the film because one of the only things I could think about was how out of place and how awful his voice…
